We can all actively participate in our own health and well-being.

The primary intention of the nervous system is to provide communication and control: to facilitate and control the communication of information.
When the nervous system is in good health or in order, perceptions and the resultant nerve transmissions are accurate, smooth and direct and timely.
Let us look at this idea a bit more closely.
The Nervous System consists of a vast network of nerves cells that make up a phenomenal communication system in the human body.
Information is constantly being sent and received through the brain, spinal cord and nerves within the body and between the body and the outside world. It can be likened to a super communication highway system and control center.
The brain sends messages down the spinal column, which then branches out to the rest of the nerves reaching all systems and organs of the body providing nerve input to the organs, and the body’s moving parts.
The brain also provides us with mental functions that our unique to human beings.
Thought processes such as planning, problem solving, processing and storing emotions, creation of and storing memories are happening here.
It is all about communication and control.
This vast superhighway communicates messages of health and well-being or distress to every system and organ of the body.
If our thoughts and emotions are unhealthy soon our nervous system responds with anxiety and duress sending messages out, firing neurons, and creating chemicals to counterbalance the stress.
The nervous system is in close communication with the heart and the rest of the body. It wants to bring the body into balance and right order. It signals us when something is wrong. We might get a backache, a headache, or a stomach ache as a warning sign to slow down and observe what is happening.
Within this complex system numerous communications are going on.
Blockages or faults in any one area can affect other areas or create a system failure. Blockages can include emotions such as fear, panic, mistrust and shame as well as physical injuries, or physical disruptions due to disease processes. These blockages can all undermine the normal functioning of the nervous system.
On the other hand joy, happiness, loving kindness, and forgiveness increases the healthy flow of nervous functions leading to a balanced, calm, and healthy nervous system.
If our brain malfunctions we cannot fully communicate and express ourselves. Our brain works in concert with our heart and the soul light within us.
Our heart and soul are expressed through our brain and all the systems of the body. The brain is designed to express all of the innate divine qualities within us.
Imagine your nervous system transmitting security and safety coming from a deep flow of trust within you. How would you feel?
When your body is filled with mistrust and fear, how does this get expressed through your nervous system and which organs does it affect?
Imagine if you grounded yourself into trust and breathed it in through your whole body and into the center of your brain. Can you allow the communication of trust to be transmitted between all parts of your nervous system from the brain and into each system, and organ your body?
Give yourself the opportunity to explore how you listen and communicate through your nervous system. Is the information highway clogged by mistrust, self judgments, self doubt, or unhealthy relationships? Only you have the answers to these questions. Guided self healing meditations can help us to focus our attention on the physical body. When focused attention is joined with positive emotions such as love, gratitude, trust and respect a positive, coherent and harmonic effect on the energy field of your body results.
This positive harmonic effect can switch on positive biological responses thereby reducing the effects of stress and disease. Try this self healing exercise: Put your right hand on your lower belly (to connect to your lower spine and nerves) and your left hand on your breast bone (to connect to your brain and upper spine) and bring the image of the nervous system into your awareness.
Have a talk with your nervous system and tell it you completely support all it has done for you. Let your nervous system know that you have complete confidence in its natural communication and controlling qualities to come into harmony and balance.
Relax and just let the energy flow loving and respectfully into your nervous system – trusting in your nervous system.
