Qigong “The Eight Pieces Of Brocade” Wednesday evenings, 7-8:30pm from January 23rd to February 27th, 2019

Qigong “The Eight Pieces Of Brocade” are one of the most practiced Qigong exercises. The name of the form expresses the high value that is given to these eight exercises. It characterizes and imparts a silken quality (like that of a piece of brocade). The exercises are elegant, graceful and essential methods of energy cultivation. They are to be considered one of the gentlest forms of exercise, while notably improving wellbeing, alignment and physical fitness. The sequence consists of gentle breathing, stretching and strengthening movements that cultivate a quiet mind, natural breathing and abundant energy. The set is easy to learn, ideal for Qigong beginners. Anyone, even if weakened, can practice these simple and effective exercises at home in as little as 10 to 20 minutes. A handout will be provided.
