Upon completion of this course, students will be able to perform a combination of 65 full body ‘Nuad Bo Rarn’ Traditional Thai Massage and Thai Yoga stretch techniques (including acupressure points on the feet, hands and face). Many concepts may be applied to the Massage Table.
Students will be introduced to the history of Traditional Thai Yoga Massage, as well as the theory and techniques using thumbs, palm, elbows, knees and feet to create a dynamic repertoire for application by the student.
This course includes massage techniques with the client in the Supine and Sitting positions and includes Reflexology for feet, hands and face, Abdominal Massage, Passive Thai Yoga Stretches and ‘Sen’ Energy Line work. (Level 2 covers the Side-Lying, Prone and in-depth Sitting positions). Students are taught in a hands-on step-by-step method, following a picture workbook, to enhance learning of the techniques. Instructor demonstration will be followed by practice time. Students will have ample opportunity to also receive massage by practicing fellow students.
