CRANIO-SACRAL 1 AND 11 STUDY GROUP

By popular demand we have decided to develop our ongoing Light Touch Study Group into a Cranio-sacral Therapy I and II Study group.

There are a number of us at Healing Connections trained in Cranio-sacral therapy to different levels, and among us and other CST practitioners, we have really enjoyed the invaluable support of the Light Touch study group in developing our skills and understanding as practitioners, as well as having the opportunity to explore and learn from each other and our different perspectives.

The group will continue to be facilitated by Anne Belohorec, one of our senior Advanced level Cranio-sacral therapists. Anne is trained through the Upledger Institute and has been a Teacher Assistant at Cranio-sacral I and II seminars. She has 11 years experience in CST and other light touch modalities.

For more information on Anne, please see her bio under Practitioners.

This group will provide students with teaching and practice support in CST I and II hand positions and techniques as taught by the Upledger Institute, as well as giving guidelines for application and practice. The group will be divided as necessary to support the learning of both CST I and II students.

(This group is a great resource for CST II students who would like to recap and practice mouthwork and get the support necessary to use this work with their clients).

Time will be given in each session to both give and receive in a MULTI-HANDS SESSION, which can greatly enhance the effectiveness of CST, and broaden our learning as both recipients and therapists of this wonderful work. (For further information on multi-hands sessions click on Tandem bodywork under the Modalities section of Healing Connections website).

When: Currently: Friday mornings 9:30 am – 12:00 pm monthly.

Next planned date: Friday, March 30, 2012

PLEASE NOTE; WE WOULD LOVE TO RUN THIS GROUP ON A BI-WEEKLY BASIS, AND HAVE SOME FLEXIBILITY AS TO TIMES AND DAYS. WE WILL ORGANISE THIS BASED ON INTEREST AND TIME AVAILABILITY. IF YOU’D LIKE TO JOIN THIS GROUP PLEASE E-MAIL OR CALL US WITH YOUR PREFERRED DAYS AND TIMES, AND WE’LL BE IN CONTACT.

Cost: $20 drop in.

Healing Circle with Algonquin Shaman, Pete Bernard, Thursday, March 8 from 7:00-9:00 pm

Group Healing Circles are an excellent way for people to participate in healing on a larger scale, and to benefit from the collective energy of all present for the healing of ones self, and everyone else there.

Healing Circles are Traditional Ceremonies that bring people together in the Spirit of Healing, Friendship, and Companionship – it makes a statement that “Our collective healing and love is greater than any of our wounds.”

Healing Circles are appropriate for people who are open-minded, are comfortable in group settings, and are willing to share experiences and benefit from the collective energy of the Healing Circle and Group.

However, it also offers people privacy, confidentiality, and respects peoples healing process – for those who do not wish to share, they do not have to, and can simply enjoy the healing benefits of the group.

The benefit to the individual is that they can receive a larger block of healing time with the Healer as facilitator in a group setting, and for less. This Group Healing Circle will focus on physical, emotional, and spiritual issues as its focus.

Pete typically spends the first hour talking to the group. Pete has an eloquent and humourous way of communicating. The second hour Pete usually leads us on an inner journey.

It is a good idea to bring along a pillow, blanket and yoga mat to ensure your comfort while journeying.

Cash Donation – typically $20.00

Next Healing Circle: Thursday, April 13, 2012.

Movie Night: “Food Matters,” Friday, March 16 from 7:00 pm

With nutritionally-depleted foods, chemical additives and our tendency to rely upon pharmaceutical drugs to treat what’s wrong with our malnourished bodies, it’s no wonder that modern society is getting sicker. Food Matters sets about uncovering the trillion dollar worldwide ‘sickness industry’ and gives people some scientifically verifiable solutions for overcoming illness naturally.

In our series of movie nights, we look at different aspects of what is happening in the world today through movies and documentaries and explore the question, “Where can I make a start to make a difference?” We hope you will join us for a discussion after the movie.

Friday, March 16, 2012, 7:00 – 10:00 pm
Cost: $12.00 includes organic popcorn and tea. (You’re welcome to bring your own drinks too (including alcoholic ones).

The Mystery and Mastery of Communication with Susan Kasper and Dolphin Kasper, Saturday, February 25 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Deepening Communication – relating as meditation, the dynamics of requests, finding satisfaction in your communication

In this full day workshop, the concepts and learning from the introductory evenings will be flushed out and participants will have the chance to further explore the underlying structures that have supported the relationship dynamics in their life.  It will give more time and space for the patterns both old and new that have served a purpose but now only serve to buffer us from real meeting and intimacy in our connections with others.

It has taken us a lifetime to learn to communicate and relate the way we do.  Some of what we have learned allows us to enjoy moments of profound communion with others while other patterns actually stand to keep us separate.  This full day workshop will dig deeper into what the introductory evenings managed to scratch the surface of.

Major themes will include:  Looking at our “stories”, the socialization of separation, fear and attachment, finding peace first, moving for what truly satisfies.

Where: Upstairs at Healing Connections – 10548 115 St., Edmonton
When: Feb 25, 2012 from 10am –5pm

Recognize your Destiny – Serve the Aquarian Age with Yogi Amandeep Singh, Saturday, March 31 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Laughter, Dance & Meditation – 3 pillars for the Aquarian Age

The ages change roughly around every 2160 years. After 11.11.11 we are now officially into the Aquarian Age – the age of Awareness. It’s a beginning of awakening & light. The entire psyche of humanity would change.

Many of us have chosen this destiny to uplift and serve humanity. We would be enacting an important role in this play of existence. This is an invitation from the Himalayan sages to come and recognize your unique destiny through priceless tools that were born in the womb of Himalayas some thousands of years ago.

Once known to only selected few, Yogi Bhajan the master of Kundalini Yoga shared this technology openly with all those who seek it.
